In April 2010, Mandemaker competed against over a thousand writers from around the world and landed in the semi-finals of the ‘Write Movies’ competition in Los Angeles with his script ‘Escalation’.
August 2010, the script ‘Escalation’ got into the hands of an executive at Hyde Park ImageNation (a joint venture between Hyde Park Entertainment and ImageNation Abu Dhabi). This led to a development deal to write an adaptation of the script. Production cost of the screenplay was $10 million USD.
Project was not produced.
Currently, Mandemaker has an on-spec script entitled ‘Teleportation War’ making its rounds at production companies.
